10k!
I DID IT.
COMPLETE CRAP weather conditions: woke up to rain, wind and the cold, and for a second it would get cancelled, but when I got there, everyone was raring to go. (Or in this case, huddled under the tents, trying to stay warm and dry).

I ran for a bit, trying to get the butterflies out of my stomach, and before I knew it, they asked up to get over to the start line, did the count down, and then we were off (all 240 of us).
I started off slow, which I wanted to coz I hadn’t really trained in the rain/wind/cold. The race was multi-terrain, so we got our share of asphalt, muddy trails, huge puddles and we ran through an airfield! (The scenery was AMAZING and super pretty) All was good until the 4km, when I started to get a side cramp. I pushed through with my mantras (we weren’t allowed to have our Ipods at all or we’d get disqualified) and it wasn’t bad until the 8-9km, when it was the BIGGEST MOTHEREFFING HILL ever. I wanted to cry when I started up, and ended up having to walk most of it. REALLY bummed about that, but oh well. When I got to the top, I ran the rest of the way and was SO happy when I made it to the finish line.

I dont know my time yet. I’m thinking around 73-75 minutes? But I’ll post the results when I know.
Pleased? Yes. Could I have done better? Oh for sure. Do I still love and hate running? Even more so.
And a quick thanks to YOU! Without your awesome likes, reblogs, and comments on my posts, I dunno if I wouldve kept up with it all. Thanks for being so awesome & supportive! <3
Wellness and Fitness: 10-Minute Yoga Supersets: Better than Another Hour of Yoga
This year, after 15 years ofyoga practice and transforming my body, I found myself hitting a plateau. Though my practice regularly involves power moves like jumping forward into Crow Pose and holding Warrior Pose for a long time, my muscle tone seemed to be stuck on autopilot: never…
OH GOD.
The 10k is TOMORROW GUYS
TOMORROW.
My two conflicting emotions:

and

Eep!
I just pray I get a good time!
Workout 5/29
Running! HARK. I RAN.
It was tough—I did the “Hill” workout setting which I’m not used to (combined with the fact that it’s been like 2 weeks since I ran…) at level 4.
Speed work consisted of:
- 6x400m with 400m RI (my speed was 9.9kph, my RIs 8.7kph)
- 5 minute cooldown
- 36.12 total time
- 5.26km
